One Week Since the Last Blog!!

I am on the way to recovery I think. I am to see the Doctor again today. I hope that he gives me some good news. I have had a lot of pain with my toe. My house is a wreak. I couldn't stand to be on my foot for most of last week. I am trying to get things cleaned up.

My dryer isn't working so I am having to take my clothes somewhere else to dry them. I still hadn't got laundry caught up from the power outage. I washed what we needed. Because everyone else was doing laundry at our house. I then had my toe worked on and couldn't travel up and down the stairs so they piled more. I realized Sunday that I had to make myself climb down the stairs to do laundry. Once a load was washed and in the dryer the dryer ran for 15 minutes and quit.

I think that I am going to go crazy!!!

After the Procedure:-[

I got my infected toenail cut out yesterday! Ouch! I think child birth was less painful than the constant throb that I have. I have never took any pain medicine other than Darvoset, and I am allergic to co dine. So he wouldn't give me anything other than Darvoset. Which just barely kills the pain, but I feel like I've been on a 3-day drunk.

I will be better soon and be able to get moving on the inside of the house. I hope to have our bedroom done before Cody's Birthday.

Man Time is Traveling Quickly

I have to do a Baby Shower Cake. I have to do some planning for the Shower also. I have to buy some gifts. I am running out of time quick.

Tomorrow I have to see a surgeon about my infected toenail. I am really dreading this. I hope that it does hender what I am trying to get done for the baby shower.

Cody is struggling with the math units they are studying this 9 weeks. It isn't the basic stuff he needs to know, but his principal insist on this real world math stations. Most of the 4th grade struggles with multiplication and division. I feel that they should focus on that, but the principal feels differently. I just hope that my child isn't so far behind when he gets to middle school that he begins to hate school. He has a how to project to do for 4-H at the first of March. He chose his own topic. Which I was impressed with.

Chuck and Lisa packed up and headed to Flordia this morning. I wish them well.

Chris and I can't wait for Spring so we can begin our Motorcycle travels. We have some adventures planned for this year.

I hope all is doing well. Hugs and Kisses to all.

From Tornado to Windstorm to Ice Storm

We had a Tornado on Feb. 5, 2008. We had a Wind Storm off of Hurricane Ike in September 2008. On January 26, 2009 we had an Ice Storm that knocked power out to the entire county and several surrounding counties in Kentucky. There are still over 70,000 thousand people in the state that are with out power. This is a week later and temps are dropping steadily from the weekend.

We didn't have in severe damage at our place. We were the main station for heat and food. I have a gas cook stove so we heated and cooked for close friends and family. We bedded to other couples until they got generators. Then they went home. One received power back on Sunday and the other is still without. I am still feeding the ones without power. We received our power back at about 2:00 A.M. SATURDAY MORNING!! Hot showers have been awarded to all that have been in and out at my house. My parents are without electricity, but have a generator. They've been eating with us and showering. We are also the Laudry Mat for both sets of parents. Friends didn't want to burden us with their laundry, but if no power soon they will have too I am sure.

Me and Chris really hadn't made much progress on the remolding, but he had to move serveral things over the past week to accomadate so we will have a good start when all is said and done. I am rather excited. I am going home to start moving things around and out this evening after supper is over. That is if I feel up to it. I think I have an ear infection starting. I have some severe pain from time to time. Probably get to see a doctor soon.

Cody didn't do as well on his report card as I had wished for, but it was still a decent report. He got 2 b's and the rest a's. He brought all up, but 2. He has let some grades drop for this 9 weeks that has gotten him into some trouble with his dad and myself. We are hoping for all a's this nine weeks, but he is going to have to work his little tush hard. He will be going to school until the second week of June I think. Not much of a summer for these kids because they start the first of August.

Cody is very close to the end of Elementary school. Preteen he is becoming. He has 13 weeks left of 4th grade and 36 weeks of 5th before he enters junior high.

Love to all
