Welcome 2010.

We welcome the 2010 year with some of our dear friends. I spent New Year's Day with Chris, Cody, Mom, Dad, Chuck, Lisa and Tim. I spent Saturday with another group of friends. Sunday we spent the day with Chris's family. So this year I feel like I will be surrounded by family and friends. I struggled with my Mom's health for the last 4 months of 2009, so I hope that we have now gotten her on the road to recovery. We are hoping that she will be able to return to work soon too.

I hope all of my friends and family have a very peaceful, healthy and wealthy year with God in there sights for 2010.

Missing an old friend!

I have found myself missing an old friend here lately. We had our ups and downs in high school. We kept in touch up until the last 3 years or so. I miss her letters that she use to send. I had her number at one time, but getting her to return the call was like pulling teeth. I am not sure where she is at now. Last I knew she was in Tennesse. I know that her brother end up adopting her daughter from her 1st marriage. I have stumbled upon some information that I would really like to discuss with her. Dang, why do I always attach myself to people. I worry about her a lot because she had a lot to struggle with through her life. I just want to know that she is okay. (Misty has found most of her lost friends, now I want to find mine.) I have located a lot of people on facebook already, but Monica is one I can't seem to find. I found her brother's myspace page, but he hasn't been on there since last year. Maybe she will somewhere out of the blue write me or look me up. I will continue to try and find her or her brother.

Vacation

Cody went on vacation with his dad's parents week before last, and went on vacation with my parents last week. We tried to get him to go on vacation with us, but he wanted to go with my parents. So he has been to Mississippi, Flordia, Alabama, and Louisianna on his first week of vacation. Then he camped at Indian Point and Kentucky Dam State Park Resort at Kentucky Lake. The left there and went to Bowling Green to Beech Bend and camped where we meet up with them on Saturday.

Chris and I went to the Smoky Mountains with our best friends Chuck and Lisa for the week. We travelled into Deals Gap, North Carolina (better known as the Dragon Tail or HWY US 129.) A lady died on the Dragon tail ahead of us. We didn't know until the following morning that that was what happened. We went to Cades Cove where we had two wild black bears to cross in front of us. That just tickled Chuck and Chris.
The second day we travelled to Cherokee, NC it was a miserable ride because it rained almost all the way there and all the way back. Then the last day we travelled to the Forbidden Caverns and to Gatlinburg. It was Chris's first time in a Cavern he enjoyed it. Then we came home and joined my parents and son along with Chuck and Lisa and Chuck's two sons at Beech Bend where we took the boys to the amusement park.

School goes back in 3 weeks. I don't think that I am ready for it to go back, but time flies when you are having fun. Cody is growing into a very handsome young man.

SCHOOL IS OUT SUMMER IS IN

Friday was the last day of school for Cody and me. When school goes back he will be entering the last year of grade school. Sniff Sniff. I will volunteer one more year before I will have to cut the strings. I think it might be hard on the both of us. He loves having me with him. I won't only be cutting the strings from him, but all of those kids. I interact with them all on a daily basis.

Cody made the AB Honor Roll all year. I hope for the same results all through his student life.

I hope to a better mom with more energy come the start of the next school year. I am losing weight. I am working hard on it. I just turned 30 and figure I probably need to start taking better care of myself. I love the results that I've already made.

Neglected

Neglected is how this blog has been. I weigh 5 1/2 lbs less than the last time I was here. I am down 24 lbs since February. That is 3 months at and average of 8 lbs a month. I am proud of myself. Since I've been here I've had a birthday I am know 30 years old.

LOSER......

I decided back in February that it was time to get my excess weight under control. I weighed at my Mother-In-Law's the day that I decided the weight had to go. I weighed again right before I started Curves and realized that I had lost 8 pounds. So yesterday I decided that I would weigh on her scales to find myself 19 and 1/2 pounds lighter than I had weighed when I first decided it was time for it to be gone.
I have muscle defintion since I've started Curves. I really love the way that I feel now that I am losing weight and gaining muscle. I am also gaining control over my cravings.

I promised myself to lose 25 lbs before my Birthday this year. I hope that I make it. I only have 6 more lbs to go. Yeah! Happy Birthday to me!!!

Coming Soon....A Smaller Me

I feel that I accomplished a lot for a month of hard work. I am 8 lbs lighter, 8.4 points stronger. Lost 3% body fat. Along with other accomplishments. My clothes are looser. I don't think I will miss any of me that is leaving. I can honestly say that I am a proud loser.
